Students attend young women in stem conference at princeton university

On March 12, a group of young women from both the Upper and Middle divisions traveled to Princeton University with Dr. Zinman to attend the Young Women's Conference in STEM. The students, eager to explore future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, had the unique opportunity to engage in hands-on experiments and interact with scientists from a variety of STEM fields.

The day was filled with exciting and educational experiences. One of the highlights was a chemistry demonstration led by a team of Princeton University chemists. The young women also participated in a career panel, where women at different stages of their STEM careers shared their professional journeys and offered valuable advice. The conference provided an inspiring environment for students to ask questions, gain insights, and see firsthand the possibilities available to them in STEM fields.

Attending conferences like this is made possible thanks to the generous support of our donors and fundraising efforts. The students traveled to Princeton in the Lacordaire van, a vital resource purchased last year with donor contributions. The van has allowed students to take part in countless enriching learning experiences– everything from community service, field trips, athletics, competitions, and even rides to the airport– beyond the classroom.
