Back yard Leveling & greenscaping project Underway
At Lacordaire, we are always looking for ways to improve our campus while maintaining a respect for the environment. Recently, as part of our ongoing commitment to campus safety and sustainability, we removed several large trees that had been deemed dead by the Township of Montclair. While it was necessary to take them down for safety reasons, we are dedicated to replenishing our green spaces and will replant a tree for each one removed.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to maximize the efficiency and usability of our three-acre campus. With the newly cleared space, we are taking the opportunity to level out the backyard area, creating a dedicated green space where children can play safely. Once the land is properly graded, we will plant fresh grass, transforming the area into a vibrant, open space for outdoor activities, recess, and community gatherings.
At Lacordaire, we recognize the importance of outdoor play and green spaces in fostering creativity, physical activity, and social interaction among students. This new backyard space will provide a safe and tranquil environment for our students to enjoy for years to come.
We look forward to watching this transformation unfold and can’t wait for our students to enjoy the benefits of this newly revitalized outdoor space!
